    Pre-sorting for Workshare bands

Bulk discounts exist because pre-sorted mail costs the carrier less to handle, and the size of the discount tracks how much handling has been removed. We sort by National Postal Sector before handover, which is what qualifies a run for SingPost Workshare bands. Which band a given run reaches depends on its volume and sort depth, so it is worth checking against the current rate card rather than assumed.

    Address validation before print

An undeliverable item is paid for in full and delivers nothing. Validating addresses and removing duplicates before production converts that cost back into savings, and the duplicates worth catching are rarely the obvious ones — usually the same recipient held twice under slightly different formatting.

    Reconciled lodgement

We handle the lodgement paperwork and the handover to the carrier, and reconcile the manifest against the production count. That reconciliation is the record you can produce afterwards showing what was made and what was lodged, which matters most for mail carrying a regulatory or contractual deadline.

    Inventory tracking

Stock, envelopes and inserts are tracked across the production cycle, so a recurring mailing can draw on held components rather than being reprinted from scratch each time.

    Short runs and recurring runs

The same process runs a few hundred pieces and a larger campaign. Postage per piece still improves with volume because the discount structure is built that way, but the handling, checks and reconciliation do not change for a small job.

    Common questions

Mail Fulfilment & Distribution — frequently asked

No. Fulfilment here means mail fulfilment: taking a finished mailpack through sorting, lodgement and reconciliation with the carrier. We do not pick and pack e-commerce orders, hold merchandise inventory, or run a fulfilment centre. Stock we track is print stock — envelopes, inserts and components for a mailing.

Three decisions move a postage bill: the format your mailpiece falls into and therefore which rate it attracts, how deeply it is pre-sorted before handover, and how clean the address file is. Format and sort depth are set during production, and address hygiene is the cheapest of the three because it does not depend on volume.

Yes, by National Postal Sector before handover, which is what qualifies a run for SingPost Workshare bands. The sort has to be correct as well as deep, because a mis-sorted tray can cost the discount for the batch it belongs to.

That depends on the volume and the sort depth of the specific run, so it is not something to promise in advance. We will tell you which band a run is expected to reach and what would be needed to move it, and the rate card is SingPost's to set and does change.

Yes. Stock, envelopes and inserts are tracked across the production cycle, which matters most for recurring mailings that draw on held components rather than being reprinted each time.

By validating addresses and removing duplicates before production rather than after. A return-to-sender item costs production, materials and postage while reaching nobody, so every duplicate caught before print is postage not spent.

We prepare the lodgement paperwork, hand the run over, and reconcile the manifest against the production count. That reconciliation is the record you can produce afterwards showing what was made and what was lodged.

Yes, and the handling, checks and reconciliation are the same for both. Postage per piece still improves with volume because the discount structure is built that way, but a short run is not treated as an exception to the process.
